Brownfield Projects

The Camden Redevelopment Agency hosted a Public Meeting on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, to provide an update on the groundwater investigation relating to the Harrison Avenue Landfill Project. CRA is working to address New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) requirements regarding the groundwater contamination plume that extends from Harrison Avenue towards River Avenue in Cramer Hill.  This current phase of the work involves siting sentinel monitoring wells outside of the plume to assess the conditions over time. The installation of the wells will necessitate a temporary lane closure of River Avenue.

In addition to presenting information about the groundwater contamination, information pertaining to the temporary lane closures was discussed during the meeting.
